PROJECT A is one of Jackie Chan's better ensemble movies. Although made back in 1983, the fast-paced swashbuckler is filled with Chan's unique brand of highly acrobatic and comedic martial arts. In addition to a whole string of tightly choreographed fight sequences, we're treated to a most original bicycle chase through the streets of old Hong Kong. This culminates in probably the most memorable moment of the film - when Chan does an homage to the Harold Lloyd comedy classic SAFETY LAST - hanging precariously from a clock tower before plumetting several stories to the ground below. The high fall is done in one take, with no stunt doubles. It's really Jackie Chan and that ground looks really hard. Ouch!
As with most of Chan's disks, there really aren't many 'extras', but this one is still worth seeing for the great action.
